Charger displays E002 and refuses to start charging; EV does not lock the connector.

Safety warning: Isolate the charger by switching off the dedicated circuit breaker and verifying that all indicator lights are off before opening any covers.

• Visual connector check: Inspect the Type 2 plug control pilot pin (usually the small pin labeled CP). Look for corrosion, discoloration, or deformation. Clean light oxidation with a soft, dry brush; do not use liquids.
• Check cable flex point: Gently flex the cable near the charger housing while visually inspecting for cracks or bulges. Damage here often indicates a broken pilot conductor.
• Internal terminal inspection (qualified persons only): Remove the EVBox front cover according to the installation manual. Locate the control pilot terminal on the internal terminal block or PCB connector. Ensure the screw or clamp is tight and the conductor is fully inserted.
• Reassemble and power cycle: Refit the cover, restore power, wait 60 seconds, and attempt a new charging session.
• If E002 remains: The control pilot driver circuit on the main control board is likely defective. Do not attempt board‑level repair; arrange replacement of the main control board through EVBox support or a certified technician.
