How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Critical safety: A ground fault can be dangerous. Do not repeatedly reset and continue using the charger without inspection. Turn off power at the breaker before any checks.
- Check for moisture: Inspect the connector and cable for signs of water, condensation, or dirt. If the connector is wet, allow it to dry completely indoors for at least 24 hours before reuse.
- Inspect cable insulation: Run your hand (with dry insulated gloves) along the cable to feel for cuts, abrasions, or soft spots. If any damage is found, the cable assembly must be replaced.
- Check mounting area: Ensure the EVBox enclosure is not exposed to direct water jets or standing water. Look for cracks in the housing or missing gaskets.
- Power cycle and test: After drying and visual inspection, restore power and start a short test charge while monitoring for E003. If the error reappears immediately, stop using the charger.
- Persistent E003: The internal residual current detection module or main control board may be faulty. Do not bypass RCD protection. Contact a certified EVBox technician to test leakage current and replace the RCD module or main board as needed.
