How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker immediately. Do not use the charger if water has entered the enclosure.

  • Inspect exterior: Look for cracks, missing gaskets, or open knockouts on the EVgo housing.
  • Drying period: Allow the unit to dry completely before any further inspection. Do not open the enclosure while wet unless necessary and only with power OFF.
  • Protect from further water: Temporarily shield the charger from direct rain with a cover that does not trap moisture or block vents.

Contact an EVgo‑authorized technician to open the unit, inspect for corrosion or damage, replace seals or the enclosure, and verify safe operation before restoring power.
