How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker before opening the charger. Do not touch internal components while energized.

  • Identify noise source: Stand near the EVgo charger during operation and note whether the noise is continuous (hum) or intermittent (clicking).
  • Check mounting: With power OFF, verify that the charger is firmly mounted to the wall and that all external screws are tight.
  • Internal inspection (technician): A technician can tighten internal mounting screws for the contactor, transformer, and power module, and check for signs of arcing.
