Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker. Wiring errors can be hazardous and must be corrected by a qualified electrician.
- Verify dedicated circuit: Confirm the EVgo charger is on its own dedicated 2‑pole breaker with no shared neutral.
- Check panel wiring: An electrician should verify that both hot legs are on opposite phases and that no neutral is connected to the charger if it is a line‑to‑line 240 V unit.
- Inspect internal terminals: With power OFF, verify that L1, L2, and ground are correctly landed on the EVgo terminal block per the installation diagram.
If wiring is correct and E20 persists, the internal line sensing circuit may be defective and require replacement of the main control board.
