Possible Causes
Long ground run with small gauge wire, Corroded ground connection at panel or charger, Loose ground lug inside EVgo unit, Shared ground with noisy equipment
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker. Grounding issues must be corrected by a qualified electrician.
- Inspect ground connections: Verify that the EVgo ground wire is securely attached at both the panel and the charger ground lug.
- Check for corrosion: Look for rust or oxidation on ground bars and lugs; clean and re‑terminate as needed.
- Measure ground impedance (technician): An electrician can test ground resistance and upgrade the conductor size if necessary.
Once grounding is corrected, the vehicle should no longer report EVSE ground warnings.
