Possible Causes
Aging LCD/LED backlight, Loose display power connector, Failing display driver on HMI board, Low-voltage supply sag under load
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power before removing the front panel.
- 1. Check in low light: Verify whether the display is actually off or just the backlight is dim by viewing in a dark room.
- 2. Reseat display connectors: With power OFF, open the unit and reseat the display power and data connectors.
- 3. Inspect for moisture: Look for condensation or corrosion around the display area; dry and seal as needed.
- 4. Test low-voltage supply: If qualified, measure the display supply voltage during operation. If it sags, the internal power supply may be failing.
- 5. Replace display module: If the backlight or display remains dim or flickering, replace the display/HMI module.
While charging may still function, a failing display makes diagnostics and configuration difficult; plan for repair.
