Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation around EvoCharge enclosure, High ambient temperature exceeding rating, Failing internal cooling fan (if equipped), Loose or overheated terminal connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power before opening the enclosure. Components may be hot; allow time to cool.
- 1. Check ambient conditions: Ensure the EvoCharge unit is not installed in direct sunlight or in a confined, unventilated space. High ambient temperatures can trigger E06.
- 2. Inspect for obstructions: Make sure vents on the EvoCharge housing are not blocked by objects, dust, or spider webs. Clean gently with a soft brush or vacuum.
- 3. Check internal fan (if present): With the cover removed and power ON (only if qualified), start a charge and verify that any internal cooling fan spins. If the fan does not run or is noisy, replace it.
- 4. Tighten power connections (power OFF): Loose terminals can overheat. Turn OFF power, then inspect and tighten all high-current connections at the contactor, terminal block, and output lugs.
- 5. Allow cool-down and retest: After addressing airflow and connections, let the unit cool for 30–60 minutes, then restore power and test. If E06 recurs quickly, the internal temperature sensor or control board may be faulty.
Persistent overtemperature faults should be evaluated by a technician to prevent damage or fire risk.
