Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not use the charger when a ground fault is indicated. Turn OFF the breaker and verify ground integrity before further use.
- 1. Inspect supply ground: At the service panel, verify that the ground conductor feeding the EvoCharge circuit is properly landed and tight. This should be done by a qualified electrician.
- 2. Check internal ground connections (power OFF): Remove the EvoCharge cover and locate the green or bare ground wire. Ensure it is securely fastened to the ground terminal block and to the metal chassis or mounting plate.
- 3. Look for corrosion: If the unit is installed outdoors, inspect the ground lugs and bonding points for rust or corrosion. Clean contact surfaces and re-tighten connections.
- 4. Test with a receptacle tester (if plug-in model): For plug-in EvoCharge units, use a UL-listed outlet tester to verify correct wiring and ground presence at the receptacle.
- 5. Control board ground sense: If all physical grounds are intact and E07 persists, the ground detection circuit on the EvoCharge control board may be defective and require board replacement.
Never defeat or bypass the ground connection to clear this error; it is critical for user safety.
