Possible Causes

Failed RFID reader module, Damaged RFID antenna, Loose reader cable to control board, Corrupted access control configuration

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Access control issues can be diagnosed with power ON, but open the unit only with power OFF.

  • 1. Test with multiple tags/cards: If your EvoCharge uses RFID, try several known-good cards or fobs. If none are recognized, suspect the reader.
  • 2. Check configuration: Using the EvoCharge management interface, verify that RFID mode is enabled and that your cards are enrolled.
  • 3. Inspect reader module (power OFF): Remove the cover and locate the RFID reader board and antenna (often near the front panel). Ensure its cable is firmly connected to the main control board.
  • 4. Look for physical damage: Check the front panel where cards are presented for cracks or water ingress that could damage the reader.
  • 5. Replace RFID reader: If wiring and configuration are correct but E11 persists, replace the RFID reader module with an EvoCharge-approved part.

Until repaired, you may be able to switch the charger to open-access mode (if supported) to continue charging without RFID authentication.
