Possible Causes

Reversed line and neutral on supply, Missing phase on multi-phase installation, Miswired input at EvoCharge terminal block, Incorrect bonding of neutral and ground at subpanel

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: This is an installation wiring issue. Turn OFF the breaker and do not use the charger until wiring is corrected by a qualified electrician.

  • 1. Verify wiring diagram: Compare the actual wiring at the EvoCharge input terminal block to the installation manual. Confirm line, neutral (if used), and ground are on the correct terminals.
  • 2. Check for missing phase: For models that support 208 V three-phase, ensure all required phases are present and correctly landed.
  • 3. Inspect subpanel bonding: In subpanels, neutral and ground should typically be isolated. An improper bond can cause detection errors. Have an electrician verify panel wiring.
  • 4. Correct any miswiring: Have a licensed electrician move conductors to the proper terminals and torque them to specification.
  • 5. Reset and test: After corrections, restore power and confirm that E12 is cleared and the charger operates normally.

Do not attempt to bypass wiring detection; it protects against shock and equipment damage.
