Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between display and control board, Failed LCD/LED display module, Moisture ingress into front panel, Firmware crash in HMI processor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power before removing the front panel or display module.
- 1. Power reset: Turn OFF the breaker for 2 minutes, then turn it back ON. Observe whether the display initializes correctly.
- 2. Inspect display connections: With power OFF, remove the front cover and locate the ribbon cable or harness connecting the display to the main board. Reseat both ends carefully.
- 3. Check for moisture: Look for condensation or water marks inside the front panel. If present, dry the area thoroughly and improve weather sealing.
- 4. Firmware update (if supported): Some EvoCharge models allow HMI firmware updates. Follow EvoCharge instructions to reload or update the display firmware.
- 5. Replace display module: If the display remains blank or E14 persists, replace the entire display/HMI module with an OEM part.
The charger may still function in limited mode without a display, but full operation and diagnostics require a working HMI.
