Possible Causes
Depleted RTC backup battery (if used), Firmware bug affecting timekeeping, Failed RTC chip on control board, Power interruptions without proper shutdown
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Most steps are low-voltage; opening the unit still requires power OFF.
- 1. Reset date and time: Using the EvoCharge interface, manually set the correct date and time. Save and reboot the charger.
- 2. Disable schedules temporarily: Turn off any scheduled charging or load management features to see if E19 clears.
- 3. Firmware update: Install the latest EvoCharge firmware, which may include fixes for RTC issues.
- 4. Inspect RTC battery (if present): With power OFF, open the unit and look for a coin-cell battery on the control board. If voltage is low, replace it with the same type, observing polarity.
- 5. Control board replacement: If the RTC chip itself has failed, the entire control board may need replacement.
Until resolved, avoid relying on scheduled charging; use manual start/stop instead.
