Possible Causes

Damaged door gasket or cover seal, Loose cable gland at bottom of EvoCharge unit, Cracked enclosure or conduit entry, Incorrect mounting angle allowing water pooling

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF power immediately if water is present inside the unit. Do not use the charger until it is completely dry and repaired.

  • 1. Dry the unit: With power OFF and cover removed, gently dry internal components with a clean, dry cloth. Allow the unit to air dry for at least 24 hours in a warm, dry environment.
  • 2. Inspect seals and gaskets: Check the door gasket, display window seal, and cable glands for cracks, gaps, or misalignment. Replace any damaged seals with EvoCharge parts.
  • 3. Check conduit entries: Ensure all conduit or cable entries are properly sealed with approved fittings and that no open knockouts remain.
  • 4. Correct mounting: Verify the unit is mounted plumb and level so water does not pool on top or run into openings.
  • 5. Inspect for corrosion: Look for rust or corrosion on terminals and boards. Severely corroded components should be replaced.

After repairs and drying, restore power and monitor closely during the next rain or wash event for any signs of renewed ingress.
