Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between control board and display, Failed LCD/OLED display module, Damaged backlight driver, Firmware mismatch between display and main board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the breaker before removing the front cover or display module.
- 1. Power reset: Turn OFF the breaker for 2 minutes, then ON. Sometimes display communication recovers after a reboot.
- 2. Check external indicators: If status LEDs still work and the charger charges normally, the issue is likely limited to the display.
- 3. Reseat display cable: With the cover removed and power OFF, locate the ribbon cable or connector between the control board and display. Carefully unplug and replug it to ensure a solid connection.
- 4. Inspect for damage: Look for cracks in the display glass or signs of water ingress around the display window.
- 5. Replace display module: If reseating does not help, the display module may need replacement. This can usually be done without replacing the main control board.
