Possible Causes
No earth connection at supply, High resistance earth connection, Loose PE terminal inside Garo charger, Faulty earth monitoring circuit on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Earth faults are serious. If you are not a qualified electrician, do not attempt internal wiring changes.
- Check supply earth: At the main distribution board, verify that the circuit feeding the Garo charger has a proper PE connection. A qualified electrician should measure earth continuity and impedance.
- Inspect PE terminal: With power OFF, open the charger and locate the PE (earth) terminal block. Ensure the earth conductor is correctly inserted, undamaged, and the terminal screw is tightened to the specified torque.
- Check bonding: Confirm that the metal backplate and any metal enclosure parts are bonded to PE using the provided earth strap or screw.
- Test with meter: A professional should measure continuity between the charger PE terminal and the main earth bar. If continuity is good but E03 persists, the internal earth monitoring circuit on the main control board may be defective and require replacement.
