Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation around Garo charger, High ambient temperature, Faulty internal temperature sensor (NTC) on main board or heatsink, Loose connections causing localized heating at terminals or contactor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Overheating can lead to fire. Allow the unit to cool before opening.
- Check installation location: Ensure there is adequate clearance around the charger as specified by Garo (no obstructions, direct sunlight minimized).
- Inspect for dust and debris: With power OFF, open the enclosure and gently remove dust from heatsinks, vents, and around the main contactor using a dry brush or low‑pressure air.
- Check terminal tightness: Loose high‑current terminals can overheat. Tighten output and input terminals to the specified torque.
- Verify temperature sensor: Locate the NTC or temperature probe on the main board or attached to the heatsink. Ensure it is firmly attached and its connector is seated.
- Test after cooling: After reassembly and cooling, restore power and test. If E07 recurs quickly at normal ambient temperatures, the temperature sensor or main board may need replacement.
