Possible Causes

Faulty RFID reader module, Damaged RFID antenna, Corrupted user authorization list, Loose connection between RFID reader and main board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before accessing internal components.

  • Test multiple tags: Try several authorized RFID cards or fobs. If none work, the reader or configuration is suspect.
  • Check configuration: Using the Garo app or installer interface, verify that RFID access control is enabled and that the tags are correctly registered.
  • Inspect RFID reader: Open the front cover and locate the RFID reader board behind the front panel. Ensure its connector to the main board is firmly seated.
  • Check antenna area: Make sure there are no metal objects directly in front of the RFID area that could interfere with reading.
  • Replace reader module: If configuration is correct and E12 persists, replace the RFID reader module with a Garo‑approved spare.
