Possible Causes

Faulty Wi‑Fi or Ethernet module on GM charger, Corrupted network configuration, Incompatible router security settings, Internal communication failure between network module and main board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Note: On many GM chargers, E12 affects smart features but may also block charging if the unit is configured for managed charging.

Steps:

  • Local reset: Press and hold the reset or Wi‑Fi button on the charger (refer to GM manual) for 10–15 seconds to reset network settings.
  • Reconfigure network: Use the GM charging app to reconnect the charger to your Wi‑Fi network. Ensure 2.4 GHz band is enabled and that the password is correct.
  • Router settings: Disable overly aggressive firewall or AP isolation features that may block the charger from reaching GM servers.
  • Offline mode: If supported, configure the charger to operate in standalone mode so it can charge without cloud connectivity.

If E12 persists and prevents charging even in offline mode, the internal network module or its interface to the main board may be defective, requiring professional replacement.
