Possible Causes
Incorrect charging mode or schedule set in app, RFID authorization required but not presented, Maximum current set too low for vehicle to accept, Control pilot not reaching vehicle due to cable issue
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: Many non-start issues are configuration-related.
- Check app settings: Open the go-e app and verify that no charging schedule, solar-only mode, or external control is blocking charging. Disable schedules temporarily.
- RFID/access control: If RFID is enabled, present a valid, registered tag. Alternatively, disable RFID in the app for testing.
- Adjust current: Ensure the maximum current is set to a value the vehicle will accept (e.g., at least 6–8 A). Increase gradually and retry.
- Test with another cable/EV: For socketed models, try a different Type 2 cable. If possible, test with another vehicle to isolate whether the issue is with the charger, cable, or EV.
- Power cycle: Turn the charger off at the breaker for 30 seconds, then on, and attempt a new session.
