Possible Causes

Undersized supply cable causing voltage drop, Loose terminal connection in go-e Charger supply block, Low grid voltage from utility, Damaged upstream breaker or isolator

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the dedicated circuit breaker and verify the charger is de-energized before opening any covers. Use a qualified electrician if you are not trained.

  • Check supply voltage: With power restored, use a multimeter at the charger’s supply terminals (L/N/PE or L1/L2/L3/N/PE) to confirm voltage is within the go-e specification (typically ~230 V single-phase or 400 V three-phase). If voltage is below spec, contact your electrician or utility.
  • Inspect wiring size: Confirm the supply cable cross-section matches the installed current setting (e.g., 2.5–6 mm² depending on amperage and run length). Undersized cables can cause excessive voltage drop under load.
  • Tighten terminals: With power OFF, remove the go-e Charger cover and inspect the main terminal block. Tighten all phase, neutral, and earth screws to the torque specified in the installation manual. Look for discoloration or melted insulation indicating overheating.
  • Check upstream devices: Inspect the main breaker, RCD/RCBO, and any contactor feeding the go-e Charger. Replace any device that shows signs of overheating or mechanical damage.
  • Retest: Restore power, clear the error via the app or power cycle the charger, and attempt a new charging session.
