Possible Causes
Disconnected RFID reader module, Damaged RFID antenna coil, Firmware configuration error in access control, Faulty RFID interface on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: This error affects user authentication; charging may be blocked if RFID is required.
- Test with multiple tags: Try several known-good RFID cards or fobs registered in the go-e app to rule out a single bad tag.
- Check settings: In the app, verify that RFID authorization is configured correctly and that the tags are enrolled.
- Inspect reader module: With power off, open the charger and locate the RFID reader/antenna near the front panel. Ensure its connector to the control board is secure.
- Look for physical damage: Cracks in the antenna coil or water ingress around the front panel can cause failure. Dry and reseal if moisture is present; replace the reader if damaged.
- Replace control board if needed: If the reader and wiring are intact but the interface remains non-functional, the control board RFID circuitry may be defective.
