Possible Causes
Faulty feedback contacts on main relay, Wiring error between relay and control board, Internal insulation monitoring circuit failure, Moisture causing leakage paths
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Isolation faults can pose shock risk. Do not use the charger until resolved.
- Inspect relay feedback: Locate the auxiliary contacts on the main relay (if present) and ensure their wiring to the control board is intact and correctly connected.
- Check for moisture: Open the housing and look for condensation or water near high-voltage parts. Dry thoroughly and improve sealing and cable gland tightness.
- Test isolation: With a suitable insulation tester (megger), measure insulation resistance between live conductors and PE at the charger output (disconnected from vehicle). Values below manufacturer limits indicate a fault.
- Replace relay or board: If feedback contacts are stuck or the isolation monitoring circuit is defective, replace the main relay module or power/control board as specified by go-e.
