How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: Overheating can lead to fire. If the housing is too hot to touch, shut off power immediately.
- Improve airflow: Remove any items stored around the GoCable unit. Maintain clearances recommended in the manual.
- Clean vents: With power OFF, vacuum dust from ventilation grilles. Do not use liquids.
- Inspect fan and heat sink: Open the unit (power OFF) and check that the cooling fan spins freely and is not clogged with dust. Clean with compressed air.
- Replace fan: If the fan does not run during charging or is noisy, replace the cooling fan assembly.
- Thermal interface check (advanced): A technician can remove the power module, clean old thermal compound, and apply new high‑quality thermal paste between the module and heat sink.
