Possible Causes
Marginal pilot signal amplitude, Slightly bent connector pins, Software glitch in charger or vehicle, Dirty contacts on vehicle inlet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety note: This is usually a low‑voltage signaling issue but still disconnect power before opening the unit.
- Replug connection: Unplug the connector from the vehicle, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in firmly until latched.
- Try another vehicle or EVSE: Determine whether the issue follows the charger or the vehicle.
- Clean contacts: Use approved electrical contact cleaner and a lint‑free swab to gently clean the metal contacts in the GoCable plug and, if accessible, the vehicle inlet.
- Reboot systems: Power cycle the charger at the breaker and reboot the vehicle infotainment/charging system if possible.
- If problem persists with multiple vehicles: Have a technician test the pilot signal circuit on the main control board and replace the board or charge cable assembly as needed.
