Possible Causes

Supply voltage too low or too high, Loose line or neutral connection at terminal block, Undersized or excessively long supply wiring causing voltage drop, Faulty internal voltage sensing circuit on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety warning: Work on mains wiring must be performed with power OFF at the main breaker and ideally by a qualified electrician.

  • Check supply breaker and wiring size: Confirm the GoCable charger is on a dedicated circuit with the correct breaker rating and wire gauge per installation manual.
  • Tighten terminal block connections: With power OFF and cover removed, inspect the line (L1/L2) and neutral (if used) terminals. Tighten any loose screws and look for discoloration or melting.
  • Measure supply voltage: Using a multimeter (by a qualified person), measure voltage at the input terminals while the charger is idle and under load. Ensure it is within the specified range (typically 208–240 V for Level 2).
  • Check for shared loads: Ensure no large appliances are sharing the same circuit, causing voltage sag when they start.
  • If voltage is stable but E04 persists: The internal voltage sensing circuit on the main control board may be faulty and require board replacement.
