Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation around charger, High ambient temperature, Failed internal cooling fan, Faulty temperature sensor on power module, Loose high‑current connections causing localized heating
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: Overheating can damage components and pose a fire risk. If you smell burning or see discoloration, shut off power immediately.
- Improve ventilation: Ensure at least the manufacturer‑recommended clearance around the GoCable unit. Remove any objects blocking airflow or covering vents.
- Check ambient temperature: If installed in a hot garage or direct sun, consider shading or improving ventilation. Avoid charging during peak heat if possible.
- Inspect internal fan (if equipped): With power OFF and cover removed, locate the cooling fan on the power module or heat sink. Spin the blades gently to check for binding. Clean dust with compressed air. If the fan does not run when charging, it may need replacement.
- Check for loose power lugs: Inspect the main contactor and output terminals for signs of heat (browning, melted plastic). Tighten any loose screws to the specified torque.
- Persistent E06 in normal conditions: The temperature sensor or power module may be faulty. Replacement should be performed by a qualified technician.
