Possible Causes
Open or shorted contactor coil, Broken coil drive transistor on control board, Loose coil wiring harness, Incorrect coil voltage rating contactor installed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: High voltage is present around the contactor. Only qualified personnel should work inside the charger.
- Visual inspection: With power OFF, inspect the main contactor coil terminals and wiring for loose connections or burnt insulation.
- Check coil resistance: Using a multimeter, measure the resistance of the contactor coil. An open circuit or very low resistance indicates a bad coil.
- Verify correct part: Ensure the installed contactor matches the specified coil voltage (e.g., 24 VDC) for the GoCable model.
- Replace faulty contactor: If the coil is defective, replace the main power contactor.
- If contactor is good but E09 remains: The coil drive circuit on the main control board may be damaged and require board replacement.
