Possible Causes
Internal surge protector module tripped or failed, Recent lightning strike or severe surge, Loose SPD wiring, End‑of‑life of MOV/TVS components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: After a surge event, multiple components may be compromised. Do not assume only the SPD is affected.
- Inspect SPD indicator (if present): Some GoCable units have a visual indicator on the surge module. Red or off status may indicate failure.
- Check for burn marks: With power OFF, open the unit and inspect the SPD module and surrounding PCB for charring or cracked components.
- Tighten SPD connections: Ensure all SPD leads are secure at the terminal block or PCB.
- Replace SPD module: If the SPD is visibly damaged or tests bad, replace the surge protection module with the specified GoCable part.
- Post‑replacement test: After reassembly, restore power and verify that E10 clears and the charger operates normally. If not, the main control board may also be damaged.
