Possible Causes
Failed lock actuator motor, Jammed lock pin due to debris, Broken lock position sensor, Disconnected lock harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: Ensure the charger is not actively charging before attempting to free a stuck lock.
- Stop charging: End the charging session via the app or front panel and wait for the charger to indicate it is safe to disconnect.
- Inspect lock area: At the vehicle inlet or wall socket (for tethered lock), look for foreign objects or ice obstructing the lock pin. Gently clear any debris.
- Manual release (if provided): Some GoCable models include a manual lock release accessible behind a small cover. Use it to free the connector.
- Internal harness check: With power OFF, open the charger and locate the lock actuator harness. Ensure it is firmly connected and not damaged.
- Test actuator: Using the service menu, command lock/unlock and listen for motor operation. No sound suggests a failed actuator.
- Replace faulty parts: Replace the connector lock actuator assembly or lock position sensor as needed.
