Possible Causes

Welded power contactor contacts, Failed contactor coil, Faulty contactor feedback sensing on control board, Overheating of contactor terminals causing deformation

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: This fault involves high‑voltage switching components. Turn OFF the breaker and verify absence of voltage with a meter if you are qualified. If not, contact a licensed electrician.

  • Listen for contactor operation: When starting a charge (with cover on), you should normally hear a distinct click from inside the Grizzl‑E. No click or a continuous hum can indicate a contactor issue.
  • Inspect wiring to contactor: With power OFF and cover removed, check that all lugs on the power contactor are tight and show no signs of burning or melting. Tighten loose lugs to manufacturer torque specs.
  • Check for visible damage: If the contactor housing is discolored, cracked, or shows signs of overheating, it should be replaced.
  • Do not tap or force: Do not attempt to free a welded contactor by tapping it; this can cause arcing and further damage.
  • Resolution: Replace the power contactor assembly if welded or defective. If the contactor tests good but E03 persists, the main control board feedback circuit may be faulty.
