Possible Causes

Open ground conductor in supply wiring, Loose ground lug inside Grizzl‑E, Corroded ground connection at service panel, Internal ground monitoring circuit fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Ground faults can be hazardous. If you are not comfortable working in the panel, contact a licensed electrician.

  • Verify ground conductor: At the Grizzl‑E, confirm that the green or bare copper ground wire is securely attached to the ground terminal and that the terminal is tight.
  • Check continuity: With power OFF, use a multimeter to check continuity between the Grizzl‑E ground terminal and the service panel ground bar. Resistance should be very low (near 0 Ω).
  • Inspect for corrosion: Look for rust or corrosion on ground lugs and bars. Clean or replace as needed.
  • Panel inspection: Ensure the ground and neutral are properly bonded only at the main service disconnect, per local code.
  • If wiring is correct: A persistent E06 with verified good grounding may indicate a failed ground monitoring circuit on the main control board, which will need replacement.
