Possible Causes
Moisture on internal PCB, Contaminated or carbon‑tracked insulation, Failing GFCI sensor, Damaged internal wiring insulation touching ground
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF the breaker and verify no voltage before opening.
- Inspect for moisture: Look for condensation or water droplets on the PCB and wiring. If present, dry the unit thoroughly and identify the source of ingress (failed gasket, conduit not sealed).
- Clean contamination: If you see dust mixed with moisture or carbon tracking on the board, clean with appropriate electronics cleaner and a soft brush, then allow to dry completely.
- Check wiring routing: Ensure no conductor insulation is damaged and touching the metal enclosure or ground.
- Resolution: If the error persists after drying and cleaning, the GFCI sensor or main control board is likely defective and should be replaced.
