Possible Causes
Disconnected temperature sensor harness, Damaged thermistor on heatsink or PCB, Shorted sensor wires, Failed ADC input on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: De‑energize the unit before opening.
- Locate sensor: Find the temperature sensor (often a small thermistor attached to the contactor or heatsink) and trace its wires to the control board.
- Check connection: Ensure the sensor plug is fully seated on the board and wires are intact.
- Inspect sensor body: Look for cracks or physical damage to the thermistor.
- Resolution: Replace the temperature sensor harness if damaged. If the sensor is good but E20 persists, the control board input may be faulty and the board should be replaced.
