Possible Causes

Missing or loose earth connection at charger terminal block, High resistance in earth conductor, Corroded earth lug inside Hyundai charger, Faulty PE monitoring circuit on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Do not use the charger until the earth fault is resolved. Turn off the breaker.

  • Verify earth wiring: Open the wiring compartment and confirm the earth conductor is securely clamped in the terminal block and connected to the charger’s earth stud.
  • Inspect earth conductor: Look for damaged insulation or signs of overheating. Tighten any loose screws.
  • Test continuity: Using a multimeter (by a qualified person), measure continuity between the charger earth terminal and the main building earth bar.
  • Check for corrosion: Clean any rust or oxidation on the earth lug or chassis contact point.
  • If wiring is correct and E07 remains: The PE monitoring circuit on the main control board may be faulty. Have a technician test and replace the board as needed.
