Possible Causes
Incorrect PWM duty cycle generated by control board, Damaged PWM output driver, Short between CP line and ground, Firmware bug in EVSE protocol stack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before accessing internal wiring.
- Inspect CP wiring: Check the control pilot (CP) conductor from the control board to the Type 2 connector for damage or loose terminals.
- Check for shorts: Ensure CP is not touching earth or other conductors at the terminal block or connector.
- Firmware update: If available, update the charger firmware via the Hyundai app to the latest version.
- If E19 persists: The PWM driver or protocol controller on the main control board is likely defective and the board should be replaced.
