Possible Causes
Faulty lock control signal from J+ Booster main control board, Damaged lock detection wiring in output cable, Mechanical interference with vehicle inlet lock pin, Software mismatch between charger and vehicle lock protocol
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not force the connector in or out of the vehicle inlet.
- Reconnect the plug: Unplug and firmly reinsert the J+ Booster connector into the vehicle until fully seated.
- Check for obstructions: Inspect the vehicle inlet and connector for dirt, ice, or foreign objects that could block the locking pin.
- Try another vehicle: If E09 only occurs with one car, the issue may be with that vehicle’s inlet lock mechanism.
- Power-cycle the charger: Disconnect from mains for 1–2 minutes to reset lock control logic.
- If E09 persists across vehicles: The lock control circuitry or related wiring in the J+ Booster cable may be faulty and requires professional service.
