Possible Causes
Open-circuit NTC sensor on heatsink, Damaged sensor wiring harness inside J+ Booster, Shorted temperature sensor due to moisture, Faulty sensor input on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: A failed temperature sensor can prevent proper thermal protection. Do not bypass this error.
- Allow cooling: Unplug the charger and let it cool completely, then retry. This rules out a genuine overtemperature condition.
- Check environment: Ensure the charger is not installed in a location with extreme temperatures beyond its rating.
- Power reset: Disconnect from mains for several minutes to reset sensor readings.
- If E15 appears immediately on power-up: The internal temperature sensor or its wiring is likely open or shorted. Internal access is required and must be performed by a technician.
