How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Arcing at mains connections is a fire and shock hazard. Do not continue using the affected outlet.
- Stop using the outlet: Unplug the J+ Booster and do not reconnect to that socket.
- Inspect plug: Check for pitting, black marks, or deformation on the plug pins. If present, the plug or entire input cable should be replaced.
- Have the outlet inspected: An electrician should replace any loose or burned outlet.
- Check charger behavior: If arcing occurs even on new outlets, the internal relay may be stuck closed, energizing the plug during insertion. In this case, the charger must be serviced immediately.
