Possible Causes
Noise or interference on pilot signal, Faulty control board firmware, Vehicle-side charging controller issue, Poor earthing causing signal instability
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not open the vehicle’s charging system; focus on the wallbox and supply.
- Step 1 – Reconnect: Unplug the vehicle, wait 30 seconds, and plug back in firmly until the latch clicks.
- Step 2 – Try another EV: If possible, connect a different EV to determine if the issue is vehicle-specific.
- Step 3 – Check earthing and bonding: Verify that the Jaguar wallbox earth is solid and that there are no multiple earth paths causing noise.
- Step 4 – Firmware update: Use the Jaguar wallbox app or service tool to check for and apply any available firmware updates to the charger.
- Step 5 – Internal wiring check: With power OFF, inspect pilot and proximity wiring for damage or loose connections that could introduce noise.
- Escalate: If E11 persists with multiple vehicles and wiring is sound, the control PCB may require replacement.
