Possible Causes

Disconnected RFID antenna, Damaged RFID reader board behind front cover, Firmware mismatch between RFID module and main PCB, Electrical noise interfering with reader

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate power before removing the front cover.

  • Step 1 – Test with multiple cards: Try more than one authorized RFID card or tag to rule out a single bad card.
  • Step 2 – Clean front panel: Wipe the RFID area with a dry cloth to remove dirt that may attenuate the signal.
  • Step 3 – Reseat RFID module: With power OFF, remove the front cover and locate the RFID reader board and antenna. Ensure its connector to the main PCB is fully seated.
  • Step 4 – Check antenna cable: Inspect the thin coax or ribbon cable for kinks or breaks.
  • Step 5 – Replace RFID module: If E14 persists, replace the Jaguar RFID reader assembly. If still unresolved, the main PCB may not be communicating correctly with the module.
