Possible Causes
Failed internal kWh meter module, Loose meter communication cable to PCB, Firmware mismatch after module replacement, Damaged current shunt or CT inside charger
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Metering faults usually do not affect basic safety, but always isolate power before internal work.
- Step 1 – Power cycle: Turn off the charger for 2 minutes, then restore power and check if E16 clears.
- Step 2 – Check app data: See if the Jaguar app shows any energy readings. If readings are frozen or zero, the meter may not be communicating.
- Step 3 – Inspect meter module: With power OFF, open the charger and locate the metering board or module. Ensure its connectors to the main PCB are fully seated.
- Step 4 – Wiring check: Verify that the current sensing wires or CTs feeding the meter are intact and correctly connected.
- Step 5 – Replace meter module: If connections are good and E16 persists, replace the Jaguar metering module or main PCB as specified in service documentation.
