Possible Causes
Interrupted firmware update, Power loss during configuration write, Faulty EEPROM on control PCB, Incompatible configuration file loaded
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: This is a control-level fault; electrical safety is usually unaffected but treat the unit as out of service until resolved.
- Step 1 – Power cycle: Turn off the charger for 5 minutes, then restore power.
- Step 2 – Factory reset: Using the Jaguar wallbox app or internal service button sequence, perform a factory reset of configuration (note: you will need to reconfigure settings afterward).
- Step 3 – Reconfigure: Re-enter installation parameters (supply type, max current, CT settings, Wi‑Fi, etc.) according to the installation certificate.
- Step 4 – Firmware reflash: If E17 persists, reload the latest firmware using the official Jaguar service tool or USB method.
- Step 5 – PCB replacement: If configuration cannot be stored or read reliably, the control PCB’s memory is likely defective and must be replaced.
