Possible Causes
Damaged or misfitted front cover gasket, Cable gland not tightened or missing seal, Wallbox installed on uneven surface causing gaps, Cracked housing due to impact
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Moisture inside an energized charger is dangerous. Isolate power immediately.
- Step 1 – Isolate and dry: Turn off the breaker and leave the charger open (cover removed if safe) in a dry environment for 24–48 hours.
- Step 2 – Inspect seals: Check the perimeter gasket on the front cover, cable glands, and any knockouts for damage or misalignment.
- Step 3 – Replace gaskets/glands: Fit new Jaguar-approved gaskets and glands where necessary. Ensure glands are tightened around cables to maintain IP rating.
- Step 4 – Check mounting surface: Ensure the wall surface is flat and that the charger is not twisted, which can distort seals.
- Step 5 – Final test: After drying and resealing, restore power and test operation. If errors persist, internal components may have been damaged and should be inspected by a technician.
