Possible Causes
Faulty current transformer (CT) or shunt on main board, Loose CT wiring, Firmware bug in metering logic, Electrical noise coupling into sensing lines
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before touching internal components.
- Compare with vehicle data: Check the vehicle’s reported charging power against the app. If the vehicle is stable but the app is not, the issue is likely in the charger.
- Inspect CT or shunt (power OFF): Locate the current sensor (toroid or shunt resistor) on the main board. Ensure its wiring is intact and connectors are secure.
- Check for loose conductors: Loose wires passing through a CT can cause erratic readings. Tighten as needed.
- Firmware update: Apply any available firmware updates that may address metering issues.
- Board replacement: If readings remain inaccurate, the main control board metering circuit may be defective.
