Possible Causes
Unplugged or damaged Ethernet cable, Incorrect network configuration (DHCP/static IP), Failed Ethernet PHY on communication board, Surge damage on Ethernet port
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Network cables can be handled with power on, but open the unit only with power off at the breaker.
- Check physical connection: Ensure the Ethernet cable is fully clicked into both the JuiceBox and the router/switch. Try a different known-good cable.
- Verify link lights: Look for link/activity LEDs near the Ethernet jack (if present). No lights suggest a physical or hardware issue.
- Network configuration: Confirm that the router is providing DHCP or that any static IP settings in the JuiceBox app are correct.
- Inspect Ethernet port (power OFF): Check for bent pins or burn marks inside the RJ45 jack. Surge damage may require replacing the communication board or entire main control board, depending on design.
- Fallback to Wi-Fi: If Ethernet remains faulty but Wi-Fi works, you can operate the charger over Wi-Fi while arranging hardware repair.
