Possible Causes
Disconnected RFID reader cable, Failed RFID antenna or reader module, Damaged front panel around RFID area, Firmware not recognizing RFID module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before opening the enclosure.
- Test with multiple cards: Try more than one authorized RFID card or fob to rule out a single bad card.
- Check app settings: Ensure RFID authorization is enabled in the JuiceBox app and that the cards are properly registered.
- Inspect RFID module connection (power OFF): Open the unit and locate the small RFID reader board behind the front panel. Verify its cable is firmly connected to the main control or communication board.
- Physical damage check: Look for cracks or impact damage on the front panel where the RFID target is located. If damaged, replace the front panel / RFID reader assembly.
- Module replacement: If connections are good and E15 persists, replace the RFID reader module as a unit.
