Possible Causes

Failed LED driver on main board, Damaged LED strip or light ring, Loose connector between UI board and main board, Short circuit in front panel lighting

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate mains power before removing the front cover or accessing the LED assemblies.

Step-by-step checks:

  • 1. Confirm basic function: Check whether the charger still charges correctly despite the display/LED error. Often, charging is still possible.
  • 2. Visual inspection: Look for cracked or water-damaged front panels, especially around LED light rings.
  • 3. Internal connector check: Open the housing and locate the LED/UI connectors. Reseat them and inspect for corrosion or bent pins.
  • 4. Segment testing: If possible, disconnect sections of the LED assembly to isolate a shorted segment.
  • 5. Replace LED/UI assembly: If the LED strip or light ring is physically damaged or shorted, replace the LED light ring / front panel assembly.
  • 6. Replace main board if needed: If the LEDs are good but not driven, the LED driver on the main control board may be defective and require board replacement.

Ensure all gaskets and seals are correctly refitted to maintain the IP rating after UI repairs.
