Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: A missing or faulty earth connection is extremely dangerous. Immediately take the charger out of service and prevent use until corrected.
Step-by-step checks:
- 1. Visual inspection: Check the incoming supply cable at the KEBA input terminal block. Ensure the PE conductor is present, correctly colored, and firmly connected.
- 2. Tighten terminals: With power off, tighten the PE terminal screw to the specified torque.
- 3. Continuity test: Using an appropriate tester, verify continuity between the KEBA PE terminal and the building's main earth bar.
- 4. Internal bonding: Inspect internal earth bonding straps between the terminal block, metal chassis, and any shielding. Tighten or replace as needed.
- 5. PE monitoring circuit: If all physical connections are sound but E20 persists, the PE monitoring circuit on the main control board may be defective and require replacement.
Never bypass PE monitoring or operate the charger without a verified protective earth connection.
