How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate mains power before removing the front panel.
Steps:
- 1. Remove obstructions: Ensure there are no stickers, metal plates, or covers over the RFID area.
- 2. Test multiple cards: Try different RFID cards to rule out card damage.
- 3. Internal inspection: Open the housing and check the RFID antenna and its cable to the main board. Reseat connectors.
- 4. Check mounting: Ensure the RFID module is correctly positioned behind the front panel as per KEBA design.
- 5. Replace RFID module: If performance remains poor, replace the RFID reader module or front panel assembly.
After replacement, test card recognition from typical user positions.
